President-Board Relations Workshop

January 7, 2025 Cibolo Canyon 3 and 4

Pre-Registration required. Open only to currently serving college and university presidents.

This participatory workshop will provide an overview of the president-board relationship—including college bylaws, fiduciary responsibility, and institutional governance—and will address the president’s role in building and guiding an effective board. Using case studies and small group work, facilitators will lead discussions on a range of topics including presidential evaluations, governance challenges, and political issues, both internal and external. The workshop is designed to be highly engaging and interactive, with many opportunities for presidents to ask questions and share their own experiences with one another in a confidential setting.
